Having used a therapist before, I was expecting the same thing from Leslie Terner. WRONG! Leslie showed immediate empathy as I described my situation. My past experience was one of the therapist listening but not really showing much feeling. That seemed to be the standard for good therapy. Leslie had an immediate understanding of what I was dealing with and wanted me to “take action.” She wants results, not just talk. I would recommend her to anyone.- NS
I began seeing Leslie when my marriage of 16 years ended suddenly in 2012. I was completely devastated and within days of separating, I had plummeted into a dark hole. I found Leslie through my health insurance and gave her a call. I had been to therapy only once in my life and it was for a brief time more than 20 years ago. I did not feel that I got much out of that experience, so I did not have high hopes, but I knew I was in a bad place and had to do something. I am so thankful I took that step. Leslie was so patient with me that first visit and so warm, I immediately felt that everything was going to be OK. She was with me for each step of my journey through my divorce not only helping me cope but also as an invaluable source of information providing me with legal and financial contacts. During every appointment I know I have her full attention and never feel rushed. I met her once a week for a while and soon I was seeing her a couple of times a month and now about once a month. In between visits, I miss her terribly. She has provided me with a safe place to be open and honest – and because of that, I have felt 100% comfortable sharing my secrets with her as well. I could really go on and on about how wonderful I think she is and how lucky I feel to have found her. She has helped me change my life and heal wounds I thought would kill me.”- MK
I was at the lowest point I had ever been in my life and then I met Leslie Terner and started therapy sessions. Her compassion and encouraging nature has shown that she CARES at every juncture. She has become an integral part of my health, healing and development within my personal and professional life. The therapy sessions are vital as they have contributed to improving my overall emotional wel-being. Leslie approaches each session with high levels of professionalism, an open mind and heart and the knowledge she imparts is invaluable. Leslie is very warm, courteous, responsive and helpful and ensures that at each session we explore all avenues for healing, ultimately helping me regain some sense of normalcy in my life. Her dedication to her patients is impressive and I am very happy that I have her in my life to help me get back on track.- RD
